“As an architect I am always concerned with proportions, composition, measurements, colours and atmospheres for the buildings I’m working on. Paintings are my experimental garden where all these aspects are translated to the 2 dimensional surface with there preservation of depth. The paintings become isolated, soaked of there 3 dimensional space and physical environment. The abstract geometrical colour compositions penetrate with there large scale into the inner soul. They narrow your scope and absorb all attention from the viewer who will be sucked into an atmosphere of colour and composition. With an intense emotional involvement the viewer will be forced to concentrate and switch between composition and proportion, and the colours with there depth”.
Due to their large proportions the paintings require a pronounced silent space. The serene space should support and exploit the full strength of the painting. It has to be a space where the viewer can fully absorb the painting at its full size. In the clear demarcated space there should be enough room for contemplation. Large entry halls for example or abstract minimalist living environments are ultimately appropriate to accommodate these abstract emotional compositions.
